Does anyone know how to change the sending unit? I am thinking you have to drop the gas tank. My gas readout out does not go fully to teh top....and when i get to the E line my low gas light indicator does not come on....

The Chilton's Manual sez you have to drop the tank to change the sender, however, I looked on my car and can access the sender on the right side under carpet near the rear seat bottom. It is located under a plastic plug visible from the trunk. The sensor is held in with a partial turn ring. I made a remover tool with a 2" Sked 80 PVC coupling which grabs the the 3 ring tits. Twist counterclockwise to remove. You can check the guage by shorting the yel/wht to ground. The guage should go slowly to completely full. To check the light, short the grn/red to ground. The low fuel light should illuminate.

Correct. You might have to remove the rear seat if you cannot see the plug from the front of the trunk. Otherwise you will have to drop the tank.

I am hoping to only having to remove the rear seat...if i have to drop the tank, i will live with the gauge not fully working...thanks for you help and advice...
