Subs dont work

I have a 98 Max SE with the Bose stereo & I replaced it with a double din pioneer head unit (i installed the converter, wire harness, & the antenna converter) & I ran my amp. wires that power 2 12" R.F. Punch subs from a 300 watt Kenwood amp. eveything works fine my amp has power but my subs are not getting sound, I noticed on the converter box it had a diagram that said i had to run a converter from the sub's amp to the head unit as well considering I have a premium factory stereo, has any 1 had this same problem if so what did you do to correct it ?? ThanX

oh yeah i think the name of the converter was install edge.
