so iraq had the WMD's huh? seems that N korea is a bigger threat. yet no talks of the korea and it's Nukes that they admit to having and are willing to use.
The danger of war on the Korean peninsula "is snowballing," the North Korean diplomat warned.
They suggested North Korea might be wooed back to the table later this year
so they plan to woo them to disarm?
WTF!!!
iraq gets invaded and these guys get wooed.

the reason we have a nuclear arsenal that I hope is modern, upgraded, and can work, is to deter any attack on America.
and no one else can have them to deter attacks on their own country?
america is quickly bring around the end of the world with it's bullshit foreign policy.

North Korea is all talk. They don't have to worry about us invading, as they have nothing of value to us...such as oil, for example.

Japan and South Korea are the principles in North Koreas site. Once NK has confirmed nuclear warheads, Japan will soon have some. China will really hate that and we'll have a nice arms race in south east Asia.
Iran is the bigger worry. Perhaps this rings a bell
In a Dec. 14, 2001 annual “Al-Quds [Jerusalem] Day” sermon at Tehran University, head of the powerful religious “Expediency Council” (and former Iranian President) Ali Akhbar Hashemi Rafsanjani stated that Iran should annihilate Israel with nuclear weapons:
From the IRANIAN PRESS SERVICE, Dec 14, 2001
RAFSANJANI SAYS MUSLIMS SHOULD USE NUCLEAR WEAPON AGAINST ISRAEL
TEHRAN 14 Dec. (IPS) One of Iran's most influential ruling clerics called Friday on the Muslim states to use nuclear weapons against Israel, assuring them that while such an attack would annihilate Israel, it would cost them "damages only".
"If a day comes when the world of Islam is duly equipped with the arms Israel has in possession, the strategy of colonialism would face a stalemate because application of an atomic bomb would not leave any thing in Israel but the same thing would just produce damages in the Muslim world", Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani told the crowd at the traditional Friday prayers in Tehran..."Jews shall expect to be once again scattered and wandering around the globe the day when this appendix is extracted from the region and the Muslim world", Mr. Hashemi-Rafsanjani warned, blaming on the United States and Britain the "creation of the fabricated entity" in the heart of Arab and Muslim world..."
Rafsanjani, sometimes described as a “moderate” among Iranian mullahs, also has described the establishment of Israel as the “worst event in history.”
Ayatollah Ali Khameni, head of Iran’s powerful religious council, has declared “that the cancerous tumor called Israel must be uprooted from the region.” --------------------State policy is for genocide and the elimination of the country. Not replace the leadership. Not destroy their weapons and ability to make war, but to slaughter the people.

Iraq didn't have nuclear weapons or the means to hit the mainland US with them. It is believed that China may have handed N. Korea some primitive ICBM tech.

Good thing we wasted our time and money in Iraq then. Especially with all these bigger, more immediate threats.
Of course now we have our foot in Iraq, so what should we do? Actually put WMDs in Iraq? (for the purpose of discouraging Iran?).
I also doubt that Japan would build nuclear warheads of their own. Too many horrible memories.

Regardless of whether or not Iraq was a threat, they have the oil. It's never a waste of time to ensure a steady supply of oil to support our thirst for the liquid gold. With Peru threatening to cut oil exports if the US invades. With the rebels threatening the Nigerian government to shut down oil production. Oh... You all drive petroleum derivative burning vehicles, right? Don't be shy... don't be hyprocritical (regardless of the gas guzzling/sipping capabilities of your vehicles).
Iraq was an end-game, end-of-negotiations. If they HAD WMDs and a delivery system, they would have used it against us -- hell, Saddam used it on HIS OWN people.
North Korea is still willing to go a few rounds on the negotiations table -- China will see to that: China stands to lose too much if it does not muzzle its madman puppet. BTW, China will be overtaking the US in oil consumption in the not too distant future. Russia will sign a treaty with the US to protect itself and its Siberian oil reserves from the Chinese threat. The US is already helping to develop the Siberian oil fields. See, we're over there, too.
