if i whant my car to be heard from like 2 blocks away lol what should i get for subs and a amp?

I refuse to recommend anything for you to want your system to be heard 2 blocks away. People like that are the reasons why laws are increasing on car audio users.

Powerful sub, box will make up for the lack of sq. The amp will put out enough and does more than most amps for that cost :) It just wont do rated...

oh my god!! the funky pups are back, i haven't seen those in a while. i saw one guy on e a car audio forum buy them, but never heard about the results......someone should get them jsut for the hell of it.

:sly: HOLY S***...i just thought of a great way to get lots of cash...buy a 6 pac of 10's...get a POS car for like 400 that still runs...load it up with 6 10's...give it a pure SPL set up (since that is what 99% of kids around here want)...then distribute them...25 each...after driving my POS car to school and on the last day shatter the window (if it is possible with these) :evillol: ...Haibane... :cheers: :worshippy

Just to let everyone know I'm gunna do 12 12" pups in a van to hold me over till i get my re's and now i can get them ill let you all know........ ok back to the subject Go with some resonant eingineering subs 2 se 12's or 2 se 15's depending on what kind of room you have then get a hifonics brutus bx1500d off ebay for like 250 bucks to power them the 12's will be like 375 shipped for the pair and the 15's will be like 440 shipped then you got some money left over for components or whatever else. Another more expensive option would be 2 re sx's and 2 bx1000d's. If you really wanna turn heads with a single sub get a 15" xxx and a bx1500d that will run you about 675 and get damn loud but have absolutely awsome sound quality. 1000 bucks will get you a lot i definately say get some re's.

hai would that sub/box combo really sound nice? 2000 watts rms in a box that supposably "produces better sound then two of the subs" would own. Do you own a p4s box? Is it worth it?

around 60-80 cubes or so tuned to 50...this van is gunna be all out spl. Were gunna put 12 re 12's in it with the intentions of eventually upgrading them to sx's, but i'm definately considering 12 pups to hold me over. Anyone know if those ratings are rms or max? Also what the impedance of the coils?

im geusstamating peak... and probably overrated at that...but still...even road master is like $20 for 1 8" and they are rated to 200peak and i put 100 peak on it in a .75cuft enclosure and burned the coil nothing...im thinking of 6 15's right now...i have a diesel audio 1200w 600x2@2ohms amp...should hold of thoes easy...my plan is in the works...ive just told ppl about it and ive had offers of $30 for one 10...wowsers...

Id suggest Image Dynamics. Or adire audio They both have some cheap subs (price wise) that are capable of hitting 145bd with 2 10's
