I was wondering what do you think would be faster?
- L28ET Datsun 240Z
or
- CA18DET Nissan 240sx
Both in mint condition

The 240z with an L28ET would be my choice.
But the 240z didn't come with the L28ET.
If you really want to know you have to give specific details about each car.

Stock vs. Stock, I'd reluctantly go with the CA18DET. How much does a 240/280z(x) weigh though?
Modded, definitely the CA18DET for me. I haven't seen crazy figures with the L28... decent, but nothing spectacular.

The 240z With The L28et Complete With A Full Tank Of Gas Is About 2450lbs..... The 240sx Fully Loaded With A Ca18det And A Full Tank Of Gas Is About 2700lbs Or 2900lbs Depending On Model. The Ca Has Roughly 175hp At The Crank The L28 Has About 195hp At The Crank.
Modded There Are 600hp L28ets And It Costs Half As Much As A Ca To Get There Plus There Will Be Alot More Torque. I'll Take The L Series In A Z Car Over A Ca 240sx Anyday. Plus The Z Cars Will Hand A 240sx Its Ass In Handling At Any Given Moment.
