still electrical problems

well i replaced the fuseabole link on my mustang and the old one was wrecked so it needed replacing, but my problem now is that when i connect the battey it starts to drain it and when i turn the key nothing works. but also my little bros. broke my daily driver so im working on that all day ( shity chevys) but i would appresheate help.

check your grounds first and formost, then double check your installation on the alternator - that is where the problem originated from right?

yeah it did originate from fixing the alternator

check amperage through your alternator's charging wires, make sure they're not fried. as far as the nothing happens thing goes, it's either grounds or yet another link that's gone bad. also, if you get a short/unwanted ground in your charging circuit (alternator) it'll fry that link every time you try to fix it.
what alternator did you get? i got a 3G alternator (150 amps!) and a 4ga. charging wire from PA performance, and i've had no charging or shorting problems whatsoever.

thanks for the help ill check that out tomarrow. and i did not replace my alternator i just was checkingif the brushes and such where in good working order cause my car was not charging at an idle. everything seemed to be in good shape but im not that great with electrical stuff.
