2001 Aurora smokes on startup

My wife has a 2001 Aurora that she purchased new. Since day one if it has sat for a while it will puff white smoke from the exhaust on startup. The car has the 3.5 six in it. She has taken it in to the dealer twice for this and they say they can't replicate the problem :rolleyes: . The service manager told her that it was normal and all "Northstar" engines did this. I thaought the "Northstar" was the V-8 in the Cadillac so I'm confused.
Has anyone else experienced this smoking and if so what was/is it?

Yeah, he has no idea what he's talking about. The Aroura's 3.5 is obviously not the Northstar engine. White smoke out the back usually means that there is a coolant leak, causing coolant to be burned in the combustion process. White smoke = coolant leak, black smoke = oil leak.

Here's the rundown...
White smoke= coolant
Blue smoke = Oil
Black smoke = fuel :)
