Clutch Problems...

I need some advice on what is wrong with my car. First off, my clutch pedal depresses all the way to the floor board and my clutch will not engage. When the ignition is off, it has pressure, but when started it has no pressure and will not mesh into gear. The clutch has been bled, the slave cylinder and clutch have been replaced. Need some info on this problem.

Did you check the clutch master cylinder or replace it, and check the rubber line that feeds the slave cylinder? Are you sure that you have all the air out of the line, and one last thing how much fluid do you have in the resevrior? I had the same problem but never did think to check the fluid level and that was it.

Nope I didnt replace the master because i figured since i already replaced the slave and it worked perfectly fine that i wouldnt need to.My car has been sitting in the driveway for a couple of months and I have yet to refill the clutch fluid, until I actually bled it. Im starting to wonder if its the shift fork or not.

When you bled the slave cylinder did u get any fluid out of the line? It sounds like you may have something sticking in the clutch area like the slave cylinder. You should'nt have a peddle with the engine off and not have peddle with the engine on that sounds like something in the clutch isnt working right. If not then you still might want to check the master cylinder because its always good to change them together if one goes out then its more then likely that the other is about to leave.

Alright heres the basic layout of what i did to my 81. I replaced the clutch, replaced the slave cylinder, checked the lines for leakage(there was none) bled the system again, and i still have the same problem, that the gears will not engage. Does anyone think this could be a transmission problem with the release fork or any of the shafts?
