Changing 1998 GV Ignition Lock Cylinder

Hello!
I'm a newcomer to the forum here and I was curious if anyone could give me some pointers on changing the ignition lock cylinder on a '98 Grand Voyager. I have worked with them on my other vehicles (Ford Taurus/Mercury Sable) but I wanted to make sure that the procedure was not much different before I would dive in. Any help would be appreciated! I am of the impression that the column surround pieces need to be removed, and then the cylinder will come out if the key can still be turned. Is there anything more or any special tools for this specific model?
I was also wondering if the aftermarket (NAPA, AutoZone) parts are just as good as the dealer's. The dealer wants $210 to change the cylinder and I'm sure their part isn't cheap. I'd like to have it rekeyed, but also do not know the usual charge for such things.

Remove the steering column shroud.
Put the switch in the run position
Depress lock cylinder retaining tab and remove key cylinder. (Looks like you get to it from the bottom of the switch.)
