Corolla Engine Question

I have an old '91 Toyota Corolla, the bodys getting old but the engine is still in great shape, in fact it has only 40K on it. I was wondering, could I take the engine out out of my old Corolla and have it swapped into a newer model Corolla, and if so what year models could this be done with? What would be the price range for this type of thing and how much would you recommend I do this. Please understand I have very little money right now, seeing as I've got only a part-time job and still finishing school. Thanks for your help.

what kind of engine is it? look under the hood and there should be a sticker that says something along the lines of 4A-FE. that may or may not be the engine code, but it'll look like that. we can help out a lot better if we know that.

16 valve EFI, so I'll assume 16vEFI

that just means it has 16 valves and is fuel injected (like all the 90s rollas are). the label i'm talking about should actually be on the underside of the hood.
on my 93 LE, there's a label that's on the underside of the hood. has general info about the engine and stuff. for example, mine is a 7A-FE. i don't know if you guys got 4A's in the 91s or not.
