Will the body panels off my 85 gt fit my 86 gt?
My fastback came fully optioned and it has the sub in the dash. My Q is can i get the sub to work with an aftermarket deck w/o using and external amp?

The body panels will fit, but I'm not sure how many you'd have to change to get them all to line up. I would think the 85 bumper covers would line up with the 86 quarters and fenders, but I'm not sure.
Sometimes premium sound systems are rather complex, with a separate amplifier that works only with the original head unit. I've seen Cadillac/Bose systems like that where each speaker had it's own amp!
If you have an aftermarket head unit with a standalone sub channel (JVC has them, I'm sure others do too) You can wire all 8 speakers plus the sub direct and just bypass any of the original electronics. The JVC unit I saw had enough power to drive a small sub without any external amp.
