What size tire you think would work?

I installed my Tokico HP's with my Eibach Sportlines, and it supposedly gave it about a 1 1/2" drop. (check sig) I just ordered some 17" rims. The one's on my car are 215/40/16's. What size tire you think I can fit under there nicely with no rubbing?

BTW do you think I will need a camber kit for that drop?

I'm pretty sure you need a camber kit when its 1.8 or lower.

Mmk hey what do you think of these brakes?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33564&item=7922521524&rd=1

Si and HF rotors the same?

Those are good brakes but it will not fit the HF. The reason is because that HF have smaller hubs. So the bolt pattern is off.

You don't need a camber kit, but it's a good idea cuz tires for big rims are expensive. I don't have big rims so I don't need one. In case your wondering... I have 2.25" drop in front with -3 to -1 camber (toe adjusted) and 2" rear with -1.5? to 0 camber (toe adjusted) with good tire wear...

Ok, so if I find some for the HF then it'll be worth it?

Gay..I can't find any for the HF!

find a si and take the brakes off it (front, rear, master cylnider, prop valve, and ebrake cables) that would be worth it

Well i assumed you do because my wheels were butterfly'ing and they're only 14s? I dropped the rear 2.0 and the front 1.8 (neuspeed)

wanker! lol

i have 205-40-17 o mine with a 45 offset and they fit fine with no scrubbing really.

any wider is pointless really, and any thinner and the rim will pertrude (spelling)

Also I think I had to change my hubs out 'cause of my Tranny swap, damn I can't remember though, 'cause I didn't do the labor...I went from HF tranny to Si tranny..that wouldn't make me have the hubs I could use eh?

Unless you used the existing axles.

quiXilver

I bought new axles also, but damn it was so long ago i forgot if we changed them out or not...oh well..looks like I'm going for 205/40/17's $80-$90 z rated directional toyo's er something...I'll see if I can find a better price

Most likely you're still using the HF axles. My friend did a d16a6 swap ( my old motor that i sold him ;) ) and he used his existing axles.

Dude, don't get those rotors. You don't need crossdrilled and they are going to eat through pads like crazy. Just get some slotted rotors. If you really want cross and slotted i have a set for sale.

Well I ordered my tires today. Some Bridgestone FUZIONS (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Fuzion&tireModel=ZRi) 205/40/17's

$415 with road hazard for the life of the tires.

I run 205-40-17 on my 17's with a 2.5" drop all the way around. A camber kit is definetley needed, especially for the front. My tires were on for about a year and then I dropped it. After about 2 1/2 months I've had to replace my front tires because they are worn so much that it actually tore out a half inch ring all the way around the tire. Also, i had to cut my fenderwell because whenever i turned the tires gets sliced.

But, it looks awesome.... :evillol:

LOL Nice! Well, I barely have a 1 1/2in drop. You can see in my sig. I really don't wanna have to cut the fenders or get a camber kit if I don't have to. But I guess we will see.

Yea I saw those but was wondering if they are worth a shit? I asked the guy if he can get them for an HF and he didn't even know what HF was.
