alright...
my car is getting power when i try to jump-start it (lights light up in cluster), but it wont actually start...i know the first obvious thing would be the starter, which im going to look at tomorrow, but other than that what else could be preventing it from starting up???
all week before it finally quit starting, the car would stutter sometimes when i would accelerate...i thought this might be due to my worn spark plugs, so those have been replaced and hopefully will stop the stuttering, but what else would make my car do this?? could it be related to my car not starting???
also - when i do take the starter off, what should i look for to tell if the starter is my problem??

I'd say replace the dizzy and check the alternator and timing.

Yeha im pretty sure its your alternator, take it to your local parts store (autozone, orielly's etc.) they usually have something to test it........

it would still start if the alternator was bad, but it would run down the battery quick. Or am I wrong?

I believe you can test those with a volt meter.
