97 4runner center caps

The paint on the center caps on the rims of my 97 runner is starting to wear off pretty bad. Is there a way to paint these and does Toyota sell the paint? I'd hate to have to buy new ones just because of the paint wearing.

You can paint them but no Toyota doesn't offer special paint for that. The paint wears off from using "spray-on" or "no-touch" wheel cleaners. I usually just take the extra time to hand wipe the rims. But if you take your truck to the car wash, then it's hard to regulate.

If you repaint them, the emblem will be the same color though.

Hand painting the emblem is not difficult.

True, but I don't exactly have the smoothest hand. I'm sure a lot of people could do it pretty well though.

Definitely a lot cheaper than the stealership!
