Just Dynoed

Hey guys, just got off the phone with my mechanic where my prelude's been for the last week. I'll be able to pick it up tomorrow. I had him install a Zex 55 wet shot along with dyno tuning my new VAFC. After some tinkering they managed to produce a nice 235 whp. I'm happy. This was also with the bottles at about 600 psi, I just ordered a warmer to get it up to 900.

They said the motor was running strong and showed not a hint of detention. All in all they said they were extermely happy with how it turned out. I know this is a selfish post, but I'm eager to try it out.

So far my mods are as follows:
ACT Xtreme pressure plate mated with a ACT street disc and 12.8 Ib flywheel.
Zex 55 shot with dual bottles and purge
VAFC
AEM FPR, fuel rail, high flow fuel filter, underdrive pulleys, CAI
Random Technology high flow cat
Apex'i N1 exhaust

Quick question, how much hp should I have to the crank with 235 whp?

Nice :smokin:

I'd say somewhere in the 260 region

Hey Prelude 707, sounds pretty sweet. I just saw you're from Naugy, I'm from that area too. I was wondering what shop you went to...was it that one in Bristol? Because I've heard good things about them...just wondering, cuz I'll be looking to get mine dynoed and tuned in the near future.

Is that 235 with or w/o the Zex?

With Zex, although when I went to pick up the car they told I only had 211 whp with the 55 shot. Turns out the 235 was when they tried out the 75 jet. They said it had no detention with that but I'll stick to the 55. Although the 235 whp looked damn good.

I went to a shop called Dynotime because my friend said good things about them. But after going there myself I can't really recommed them. They do good work and are really nice guys, but they seem to be more muscle car then import. Plus they overcharge and I don't think they know much about the VAFC. If I could do it over again, I'd go to another shop.

What shop were you talking about? I'm the market for a new shop. I've heard some good things about a shop called Carlson Competition in the area.
