I just got a thougt: why not make a sticky faq about this? I think the same question has been asked 3 times in recent memory.

the easiest and cheapest would be a turbo TII, 13BT motor from 87-91 FCs.

the next would be the Cosmo 13B-RE motor. but you'll need custom motor mounts and some wiring work done. probably wont pass CA emissions.

most expensive is the crazy Cosmo 20B tri-rotor motor. Lots of custom work. Pretty expensive. Makes good power used in a turbo or n/a setup.

You can always take your current n/a and P-Port the hell out of it. Will sound crazy and loud. Lumpy idle and revs very high. Will need complete rebuild with some kick-ass seals.

get a cosmo 13b engine, its twinturbo, got larger intake port than a 13b-re from an FD, but with smaller exhaust port and smaller turbos. engines are sold for 1.3k cnd arround here, a friend of mine bough one and putted it in his Fb, hes currently doing the haltec wirering. beside the cost of the haltec, and the engine, and the cost of a t2 tranny and rear end, and the cost of the tuning, and a FMIC, i dont see where it would be costly to do this swap

and a kick ass rebuilt every 30k, plus some kick ass tuning with a kick ass standalone or a kick ass carb.

good idea, unfortunately we have gay mod's that never come to our forum so we suffer by answering the same questions over and over

check out the price of the engines, add 800$ for the haltech, another 200$ for the tranny, 150$ for the intercooler, another 150 maybe for the pipping, a nice 500$ for a good catback and the rest of the exhaust, 250$ for the engine mounts. 200$-300$ for the T2 read end, but you can run the car with the n/a assembly. you'll need a vacum hose job done, and some tuning, expect 400$-500$ for both, then add some gauges. expect some sleepless nights and headhache.
keep some money asside cuz you never know what could happen.

i might forget something..
