I have a 1995 Ford Taurus that is stuck in park. Worked OK all day, now it is stuck. Any help?

You probably have a problem with your brake light switch. I have also seen the brake light wire burned at the terminal where it enters the fuse block. Check if you have brake lights, if not you can possibly put the key in the run position, shift into neutral, then start the car. You should then be able to shift into drive. I would not recommend driving any further than required to get it repaired without brake lights. Use your hazard lights.

there are actually two switchs that control that. Not nessicarily just break light switch. And if the car is on a hill there might be too much preasure on the parking pin to shift it out of park. I have seen that already where we had to bump it from behind to shift it out of park.

There must be two switches that control that. the brake light switch, and the mechanism that actuates the pin or ? to keep it locked. The brake light switch or its fuse maybe(?) seems like the most likely. They have a recall notice on the '02's for this problem with the brake light switch.
