See here the first video listed here:

Turn 1 is a nice 3rd gear uphill sweeper.
Turns 2, 3 (especially) and 4 are too steep to take the inside line/apex.
After turn 5 is the "jump" and the rest is fairly straight forward.
1 mile course.
I set the SM2 record at 63.2.

Whoa, tail got a lil squirrelly on that 3rd uphill U-turn there! Very nice though, looks like fun.
I noticed you didn't always take the racing line...were the corners that steep at those places? Overall, it looked excellent though, and you handled that oversteer well.

Yeah, my best run there and my best run at that last hill climb I had one of those fun oversteer moments.
You are correct about the steepness. There is no way to dive to the "correct apex." The car would fold in 1/2 :(
Did you watch the in car video from Duryea?

Yes I have that video saved on my hard drive also...I love watching these in-car vids. Reminds me of the fun times in my Subaru in the twisties!
Are you still racing on your street tires?

I did all 3 Hill Climbs on my street tires.
If money works out right, I will have lighter/wider rims with race tires for next season.
Hill Climbing is where it's at ... that is going to be my concentration next year. I suspect I will do 6-10 events. .... a lot less drag racing venues.

Drag racing has only one turn... At the end of your run. Hill climbs have many... good times are had by all.
I wish we had Hill Climbs out here... hmm we might. Just never heard of them for cars here in Cali. Not too many hills TO climb.
Glendora Mountain Road would make for an excellent course though:

MulhollandRaceway.org (http://www.mulhollandraceway.org/)
After reading their odd introduction, i still can't quite make any sense of wtf they're trying to say.
From what i understand so far, to go, you need some type of invitation.
Is racing on this "raceway" even legal? wth is going on here? :eek7:

I envy you people!
We have a few good ones around here, none legal, and most of them are the locations of recreation areas. :(

Thanks Jasen ... there are 2 in-car hill climb videos and a number of other videos.
If you go to Hyde's track history there is LOTS of 1/4 mile videos.
And on Hyde's multi-media page even more.
THE BIG IN CAR CRASH!
If you to my "updates page" and find the link to "Fabio's Page" ... he is a friend a of mine that rolled his MR2 3 times at 110 mph during a hill climb race. He had an in car camera on ... the video is there!

dude, I even envy you. In texas, its flat... with more flat... and almost all the roads are perfectly strate.
I too would love to go out on a legal hillclimb type of event but I guess I will just have to settle with those best motoring touge vids and jeff's in car race cams. :(

That other site ... doesn't look legal to me.
It's not supposed to be legal. They just get a group of well seasoned drivers and go tear up the roads.
Of course it's by invitation only, they don't want a Newb who thinks their 240z w/ SR20 is the shit. They want some guy who can be reliable and won't fuck it up for the rest of them.
Not to say I'd fuck it up. But I don't think my Z with the best of suspensions could keep up with these guys.

No clue, they don't say. I suppose they don't want to give away what they drive to avoid the officials.
The site basically helps you find the good roads. Tells you about them and what to expect road/weather/police wise.
