I dont know anything about talons, but my friend wont shut up. He claims he is running some kind of big turbo that has him at 400 hp. All he has is a boost gauge an that turbo. I dont think the engine can even support that kind of power. I dont even believe him anymore. Is it possible that the negine can support that kind of power?

One more thing his stock turbo he blew cuz he turned it up to like 19 psi and ran it .

)It's POSSIBLE for your friend to have put on a turbo capabale of 400hp, since there are tons of them out there that can/will. However, it is extremely, extremely stupid of him to put a turbo like that on when the only supporting mod he has is a boost gauge :disappoin . I sure hope he is at least keeping the boost low, that'd be the only hope his motor would have (of course if he did decide to turn it up, he'd surely hit fuel cut which would keep him down :iceslolan ).

Ask him exactly what turbo he has, see if he even knows :)

yeah he has stock fuel injectors i told him he would need some bigger ones, but noooooo. He cant recall off hand what turbo it is. Is the talon engine that strong to ssupport 400 hp. i deal wit 240s all the time and an sr or ka needs some internall rebuilds to supprt 400 hp

The 4g63 has been proven to handle around 400whp many many times without breaking a sweat! It's considered one of the "miracle motors" I guess you could say. But, having a big turbo with no supporting fuel mods or ways to tune it can and WILL destroy the motor.

People have run pretty low times by just rewiring the fuel pump on stock injectors. But I highly doubt your friend has anywhere near 400 whp.

No, your "friend" is a retard.

Yes, the engine can handle 400whp, and has dyno'd 550whp recently on a 7 bolt block. 7 bolt as in 93-99 roughly.

You cant have shit for power on stock fuel, so that's how you know.

stock injectors and pump gas equal about 300 whp. Regardless of turbo. And he would need some tuning device to make that power (AFC, logger, etc).

I concur. (:iagree:)

supporting mods are to be done first to unleash da' dragonnnn in any bigger turbo. unfortunately for some ppl, "horespower" and "turbo" are magic words that just sound cool, and are thrown about like they mean something. :nono:

(my brother couldnt understand why a 105HP CRX whupped my 220HP GS-T. HP aint sheeaaat.)

ya the engine can handle ~450 whp pretty safely.

but you need to have ALL the supporting mods to get that far, probably about 8-15k worth of mods. how much has he spent on his car?
