The originals were Bilsteins, they were good. Later I installed Skyjacker Nitros, they were crap!
I tried Bilstein 5100 series, (allegedly good for 0-6" lift) and only the rear worked. The truck has a 2 inch block in the rear & cranked the torsion bars about an inch and a half. The 5100 series was too long for the front so I opted for a stock size replacement Bilstein.......too short, by about an inch.
I need a good Heavy Duty Gas shock. I'm tired of the up and down sway!
I will be towing a Toy Hauler, so I will need to have better control of my rig.

Any & All replies would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

You need to measure the travel your suspension now moves at. Contact Bilstein directly with your measurements and your application, and I know that they can set you up with the proper shock. I know because Monroe and Gabriel shock companies have a interchange in the back of their catalog that lists shock travel specs for everyone of their part numbers and the type of end mounting apparatus. Good Luck.
