v6 in a 88 4 runner

hi guys i am new to this part of the forum. i was just wondering if it is a big deal to put a v6 in my 88 4 runner. the 22re i have is on its last legs and at the same time i would like to get more power.

Anthony, it is totally possible but not exactly easy or cheap by most people's standards. I actually am wrapping up installing a late-model 3.4L into an '89 4Runner. But in my case, the donor truck was already a 3.0L so that makes the swap much easier since the tranny and motor mounts bolt right up.
