Airbrushing bodies

I'm wanting to get into building models again, after a good 12 year absence.
Mainly my question is, are there any drawbacks\advantages to using an airbrush to paint bodies. I feel better using that than using a can. And I really like the finish.
And if there are any good models to start on please let me know.

I prefer spray cans also only because of the ease of cleanup,an airbrush
"supposedly" will give a better finish.
As for what to build decide on a subject you like and go for it,there are models of almost every type of car or truck you could think of !
 Oh and by the way WELCOME

Welcome to the model forum! :D
There has been a great 2-part write up in Scale Auto magazine over the last 2 months about using spray cans to achieve a finish that will rival that from an airbrush. You probably can't get the magazine, but I may be able to paraphrase the highlights for you. ;)

Hey Darkness welcome.
A good model to start on is the R32 Skyline GTR from Tamyia.
Has good engine detail to hone your painting skills and it's a skyline:D

Tamiya anything is good. Most people here have a Tamiya R34 Skyline and everyone seems to love it. You might go with that. Personally, I'd just pick a car that you like and everyone here is really nice and can help you with whatever troubles you might run into. :)
