went down to schuck auto supplys and had my codes checked, and it came out with p1104 manufacture specific powertrain trouble code. so i called my local mitsu dealer and had them pull the #, they told me it was my wastegate actuater malfunction code. figures. i installed a MBC last month, the code did come on the same day. is this detrimental to the car? when i installed the MBC i disconected the boost controlle sylinoid and threw it in the "stock parts box". i'd emagin thats whats freaking the computer out, i doubt its a big problem, but i wanted to ask.

I hate check engine lights so much..mine will not go away..we ran the codes and found out it was misfire #3..fixed that then cleared the codes, i drove the car atleast 200 miles to reset certain codes so i could go get it inspected, and it still didn't fix the damn problem...ugh i dont know what else to do with it

Plug the BCS back in :)

Lindsey, are you saying the problem is still there, the code is still there, or you just can't get emissions?

I think what lindsey is saying is after resetting the ECU the CEL came back. Usually when you get single cylinder misfires you cant feel it. If its a stutter you can notice it always seems to come up as Random Misfire. I could be wrong. At any rate after setting the ready flags in the ECU to get ready for emissions testing (OBD2 readiness checks) the CEL came back I assume. What did you do to fix the cyl3 misfire Lindsey? Based on the wording it sounds like you did something. Plugs and wires typically do it. I Would check the code again either way and see if its the same cylinder. If you get single cylinder misfire codes in randomly different cylinders, I wonder if that couldnt be a bad CAS. Who knows. Get it read and see if its still number 3, if you havent already.

My damn CEL is always on, all the time. I fix the prob then like 2 days later the CEL comes back on. My car is spoiled; always whining! lol
