Hi everyone
I have an M reg 1995 Ford Fiesta 1.3 Frascatti. I am not very experienced with the inner workings of a car so I thought someone might be able to help here. The problem is that when i push the accelorator down towards the floor, my engine sounds like its 'over-revving' and the car doesn't actually accelerate, just carries on at the same speed. I have had the car for about 2 years and I suspect its something to do with the clutch? Any ideas?
Thanks!!
James W

i had same prob,. if u open ur bonnet, looking at the engine take off the plastic crap on top. when u hav done that, u will c da carbarettor. on the right hand side of it there is a small arm which u can sorta pull out. it is ona sring type thing so it wont break, it will have a round surface or a square surface which will be full of crap, clean that til it is 2 the shiny metal surface and the part touches up against. u mite find it a bit hard 2 find but it is there. if u av ne probs, tell me

Hi, thanks for responding to my post.
I spoke to my local garage and they told me to do some tests with lifting up the clutch pedal when in 3rd and 4th gears. My engine didn't stall and this apparently confirmed that I needed a new clutch (which they installed soon after!). I've had a new bloomin alternator since then too! Anywayz thanks again for posting a reply.
