Swapping brake callipers.

Has anyone here swapped the brake callipers from the VR-4 to a base or SL? can it be done?

There are some guys on 3SI who have done it successfully. do a search there. here's just a few:

there's actually one product maker (forget his name) that makes adapters specifically for this purpose, although it still won't help you clear 17's or 16's.
