muffler tape?

right now i can afford to get a new muffler or to have any of my exhaust replaced. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how reliable this muffler tape is that iv heard about. what about this aliminum wrapp that ive heard about. would any one else happen to have a quick fix solutions or a cheap one? i have a hole big enough to fit two fingers straight through. the loud sound coming out is just annoying and i wanna try to stop it.

used that stuff before as a very temporary fix. lasted about 2 weeks tops. you could take some sheet metal make a patch and screw it on to the muffler and seal it with some jb weld. that would last a lot longer than that tape stuff.
