Looking for 2 12in sub recommendations?

Okay, i have a duel enclosure ported competition box, retails 369 with 2 12in slots for subs. I'm looking for 2 subs to drop into it and not sure waht to get. I was looking at the sony xplodes. 1500 watts peak, 750 rms each. havn't heard great things about the xplodes tho. I'm most likely buying the subs on ebay and i'm not sure what to get. Trying to spend under 200 on the subs (keep in mind im buying them off the net/ebay so it will be around half price) any recommendations with specs would be great

I will not recommend you anything for that box. Due to one fact. The box is premade and tuned and built based on a certain woofer. You should make your own box or you wont necessarily be happy with the response of the speaker, but if you refuese to nix that box... Go ahead and get some 13kv2s from www.edesignaudio.com

actually, the port lengths arnt yet cut, and i have a factory sheet that tells me how short to make the lengths of the ports depending on the vas or something with a VA and the db of the subs. Its sitting in my car i would run and get it but im tooo lazy, right now i have 2 12 pioneers in there that are 400 watts peak each that i payed 5 bucks for, i spliced my 6x9's and wired them to it for now untill i can figure out what kinda subs to get. But, like i was saying i can tune the box to the subs that i get.

What amp are you using... you will want to tune to about 25hz-33hz... if you would like help on how to make those tuned to certain frequencys or help on what to choose, talk to the people over at edesignaudio.com if you go with an edesignaudio.com sub. I would recommend the 13kv2s. I would just like to know the amp as to which model of those to recommend :)

i'm not worrying about the amp right now, i want to get the subs first, then get the amp after i have the subs. im looking for around 400-600 rms

why are you looking for that rms? Woudl you like me to recommend an amp and a a set of subs for you?

how does 250 sound for 2 12s shipped?

250 for 2 12's shipped is fine, im just looking for the stats on them also

I have installed a few of them, but I already had a sub I was satisfied with before I found out about edesign. I am ordering a 13kv2 right now :).

Audiobahns will be a whole lot harder to work with. Kv2s are pretty good for just throw in a box and play as far as sq goes. Audiobahns lean more towards spl and require a certain box... which is not the ones on the audiobahn page :)
