I have a 1997 Thunderbird limited edtion with a 3.8 v6. I is severly underpowered and I was wondering if there are and cheap and SAFE ( im not looking to have to replace a crank or something) ways to get more power?

Theres a list of smaller simple mods, not necessarily cheap, im talking Exhaust, Headers, Pulleys, intake, and most suspension parts for T-birds aren't so expensive.

if you don't want to spend a lot of money, there's not too much that you can actually do.. even if you do spend big bucks, cam, heads, super charger, etc, the end result isn't probably gonna be worth the dollar amount.

as franky mentioned, your best bet is intake, exhaust and pullies.. the headers on 96/97 are the best flowing factory headers ford put on the 3.8l tbird, including the super coupe. so don't worry about getting new headers or getting the stock ones ported unless you want to go with big mods.
