doesn't matter. you just wont be able to get an accurate estimate on how much power the amp is putting out because most only rate the power at 1, 2, and 4 OHMS

Anyway, take the 4ohm power rating, divide it by 2, and you should be somewhat close.

and no you can't hook it up to a 2ohm load, you can only hook it up to an 8ohm load since it's an 8ohm sub. What I was saying is you can find an amp, take it's 4ohm power rating, divide that by 2, and that should be somewhere around the power it puts out at 8ohm.

you would hook it to a 2ohm stable amp....
