Bad vibration in puller fan

I replaced the motor on the puller fan (the one behind the radiator). When it comes on (AC or High Temp) it vibrates terribly. I took it back off and the fan itself is not broken. When I ran it without the blades I could noticeably feel a vibration. I can actually move the shaft in the motor sideways. DOes this seem like something a bad motor would do?

THey just gave me a replacement today. I wonder if I tightened it too tight when I put the fan on?

Yep, it was a bad motor. SMooth as silk now. Well, maybe not that smooth.
