Engine Done... For now.

There are no questions in this thread. Just the excitment in the fact my Camaro's engine is done. I have a 1973 Camaro with a 350 4 bolt main and a TH350 transmission. I recently pulled the front end off my car to start off the body work. While doing so I thought that it would be a perfect time to pull the old cam out of the block in favor of a modern and more appropriate Crane cam. After I put that in I decided that I also needed a tranny rebuild. Good thing I did that. After sending it in to the rebuilders I was told the TH350 was out of a 6 cylinder. The guts all had to be replaced. That tranny was rebuilt, had a shift improver kit installed, and a new vacuum modulator from B&M installed. Before installing the new tranny I also bought a TCI Torque converter. I bought the Torque converter to work with my new cam. After putting the transmission back in the car sat for a little longer. A while later I bought a pair of camel hump heads off a friend. The heads came off a 67 Chevelle SS with a 327. I sent the heads down to a local speed shop around here. I got them back the other day and I then began ripping apart the engine. I pulled off the old smog heads with the 76cc chambers. After cleaning all the carbon off the pistons I found out the motor has been bored .030" over. Later I installed the Camel humps. I did all the work myself and a day later I heard the engine fire up. Before I started it up I went and bought 1.5 gallons of 100 octane fuel, because I had 1/4 tank of 87 octane. The engine sounds great. I have had to make a little custom bracket in order to stabilze the alternator, due to the lack of accessory bolt holes in the heads. Well that is where I am and soon it will be going to the painters. I can't wait to see how it goes on the street! :evillol:
