Does anyone have a Venom 400 controler installed in their Eclipse? If so can you please tell me what you got out of it, and if it caused any problems, thanks

These are the results I got when doing a search for "venom 400" I limited the search to Mitsubishi.
I didn't read them all, but the general idea I got from the majority of the threads is that it is a cheap POS that simply lies to the ECU about the throttle position sensor. Essentially, it doesn't add any hp, but rather tricks your car into thinking you are pushing the accelerator down more than you are. So if your gas pedal is 50% down, the car's computer thinks you are flooring it, so it sends more gas to the engine. This gives you the illusion that your car is faster, when in reality, it is the same, except that it thinks you are pushing harder on the pedal. Not worth the money in my opinion. Some say it work, some say it doesn't. Judging by all the posts I read, I am thinking it doesn't.

you are correct. its a complete waste of money. another reason to use the search button
