Well here it is. I have finally finished my Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX 2 seater. It is in 1:24 scale and is a Tamiya kit. :eek7: This must be the worst Tamiya kit ever, because people are always praising Tamiya for their superb quality. This kit however was even worse than any Revell kit i have ever done. Crappy molding and impracticle part design made this kit a nightmare to make which quite frankly i am glad to get through, with some enthusiasm left for making more kits. Anyay here it is.

Sure looks nice for such a crummy kit... You've done an impressive job with an unimpressive kit.
Great Job!

Looks great! JDM!!!:smokin: Don't know why, but I prefer the stock wheels over those 350Z's though. JAO.

Maybe i should have kept them silver. I just thought it would be nice with some bigger wheels and i had never used non standard wheels before. They're not glued on so i could always change them.

Thanks guys. Has anyone else done this kit?
I did, but that was probably about 15 years ago. Tamiya has come a long way since the earlier days when this kit was made. I think it was my second Tamiya kit (first was the LP400S Countach) and it was a blessing compared to some of the product AMT and Revell were putting out at the time. I still have one unbuilt in my stack, I'll have to take a second look to see how it compares to today's kits. Looks good, love the Anniversary Edition paint job!

Thanks Mike. After this one though i am having a bit of a break. It was a bit of a pain. I am never buying an old Tamiya kit again. I wonder what those Fujimi kits will be like. I can't remember the last time i built a fujimi kit, but it was probably about 15 years ago.

Ive had loads of headaches from fujimi stuff & said never again but with all their new releases recently i couldnt help myself & i have to say that im really impressed with the v35 Skyline Impul, not many parts but the body is really well molded.
Maybe more Fujimi kits in the future !!!

Oh no Mike! That's all i need to hear. Headaches from Fujimi kits, as i just ordered 2 of them. LoL I'm sure they won't be that bad. Although they are both quite old. Not as old as this Fairlady though, so i might be alright.
Have you finished that Impul Mike. Lets see it.
