I was thinking about buying a 350Z but I would like to rent one for a couple of days before I buy. I checked all the exotic car rental sites on the Web and came up with nothing. If any of you guy's know where I can rent one anywhere around Pittsburgh,PA, Philadelphia, or New York City help a brother out.

Thanks
Patrick

sometimes if you show you are really interested...dealerships will let you take the car home for a couple days for a "test drive". you might want to try that.

What are you talking about? What dealership would let you take a Z home for a few days? B...S... you can't even test drive Z's unless you put down a deposit much less "take it home for a few days". I'm not saying it is impossible but 999 out of 1000 says it is not gonna happen. If you are talking about a Pontiac AZZtec sure but I think that is off base if we are talking about a Z.

If you show enough interest and enough money upfront they will let you take it out for a spin.... better yet go through the buying process and show a VPP and they will probably let you. If you really are serious about the car all you will really need is a test drive to make a decision in my opinion....

BS???? I am 18 years old... drove to the dealership and started looking at the 350Z. I had a dealer ask me if I needed help and said I was just looking but really interested in buying the car. I had no money at the time...and did I mention the age?? He asked if I wanted to test drive it and we took off. 30 min later, I was signing all paper work to buy it. (Without a cosigner) I was even asked while on the test drive if I wanted to take it for a few days to see if I was really into the car. It really depends on the dealership you go to. It has nothing to do with money... or a even a deposit to test drive. Doesn't happen. It might happen with like $70,000.00 + car now a days but not the Z. They aren't rare enough. The fuuny thing is, is I test drove the roadster. I mean I had no money upfront. You need to get your facts straight before you tell someone they can't do something that you most likely have no idea about.

Go to the dealership and let them know you are interested in the car and see what they can do for you. All dealerships are interested in making the sale. They will do whatever it takes to get you into the cars you want. You only have to ask.

Yeah^^

ALL dealerships want to make a buck. But you cant just say "I want to test drive this for a day or two". You'll have to show that you more than a little bit interested, but imply that you are also considering not buying it. Plus, you can always say "Mabey I'll go to another dealership". That'll show them you mean buisness. And then you may be able to get a 24-48 hour test drive. Because, they ALL want to get your buisness. It's all up to you, the consumer. You've got the upper hand here. Use it to your advantage.
