fuel pump re wire

Has anyone noticed that all the things you get for the fule pump rewireing kit is available at the hardware store? is there anything else that anyone has noticed that would be cheaper making it yourself?

Most poeple pick up a 10 dollar walmart amp wiring kit, and a 4 dollar relay. Not sure you can do it much cheaper unless you have most of the parts and just need ~15 feet of wire and a relay.

And there are many other things that are cheaper than buying a kit from a DSM vendor. Half of my car is homemade. ;) ABS intake is a good example. Race seat brackets is another. Exhaust. Etc.
