ok, i just had a minor mishap with blowing out my differential. the new problem is my shocks (shock, probably just drivers side) moves in the mount at the bottom and top. tried new bolts, the bushing is out of round?

found this out by putting my truck on the lift, and pulling on the spare, the shock moves a good distance within the mount point.. unbolted the shock, pulled, sound gone

my question is, should i try new bushings, or just get new shocks?

also, if i should just get the shocks, or in general, does anybody have part numbers and any word on going with oem or aftermarket if it's a big difference

thanks,

I would get new shocks (not just 1, both). I just got some new bilstein gas shocks , which are oem on Z71's. I forgot the part #. But I got a little better than the stock # but they look identical (yellow with light blue boot). I dont have a receipt because the 4 wheel drive shop owed me for hooking up some of there heavy machinery, so I dont know cost, probally $80 each.
