'83 Civic Hatch

OK i really am getting confused here.. ive read tons of threads and tons of websites... it seems or looks to be this car has a swap possible but when i get to reading more into the thread it turns out its for an '84 and thats a totally different year.. and different mounts and everything... any help is great..

well all honda engines from 83 and earlier are interchangeable (except the 83 prelude) i have an 83 and the sap i am doing is the EK1 1.8l out of the old accords and preludes. i am using the head off the canadian EL1 1.6l because it does not have the additional cvcc ports. hope this helps some
