College student in tight bind please help ASAP

My lugnuts where sliced so that when you put the key in them to take the rims off, the lug splits..i really need these rims to come off is there anyway i can get this to work with out spending a whole lot of funds? if so i am very interested to learn n hear about how...thankyou

if you have access to a dremel and some small cutting wheels, you can cut the lug nuts off (down the center line of the nut, not crossways) and then take the remaining piece off with your hands, ive done it before, just be carefull not to go too far deep.

another way you can do it is by using a monkey wrench or a really big pair of pliers and see if that helps.

Check with some local auto parts stores. Many of them cary what's called a wheel lock remover kit. It's a set of sockets that have tapered, reverse threaded interiors. You just tap it on with a hammer and you can remove the stripped out lug or lock with a breaker bar or impact wrench. I've seen them for under $20.00 at Pep Boys.
