Difference between the PM6 and PG7 ECU?

Alright, I'm still learning here so bear with me. I just finished doing a DOHC ZC swap in my 89 CRX DX. I only had a PM6 ECU available to me so, that's what I used. I really am enjoying the boost in power from the D15B2 engine! Suprisingly, with my driving style, my gas mileage didn't drop "that" much. Anyways, on with my question. What are the differences in the PM6 and PG7 ECU's? I understand the PG7 has more agressive timing and fuel maps than the PM6. So, in plain english, what kind of performance gains would I see switching to the PG7? I know I'd "feel" a difference but, c'mon lets see some numbers and specs for an answer!

There wont be that much of a difference. My guess it may gain you like up to 7 hp. I'll put my PM6 in my car (dohc zc) once in a while but i usually have the pg7 in. Theres not that much of a difference but its noticable. I know this isnt exact figures or anything but its just to give you an idea.

no exact figures are available becuase to the best of my knowledge, the PG7 has never been dumped so the specs of the PG7 ECU us unknown, just assumed. It does rev higher than a PM6, and is designed for an engine with identical displacement, but better power output. to a person without knowledge of ecu tuning, i will say without a doubt that the PG7 is the better choice. A chipped PM6 with tuned maps is the best choice in this scenario, but the PG7 works well if you cant do that.

strange, when i put a pg7 ecu in my d16y8, i didn't really like it that much. I have a pm6 ecu in it right now. Also i hit the rev limiter at 7,000 rpm, compared to the pm6 which is 7,200 rpm. Not much in difference with the numbers, but i'm just used to driving with the pm6.

the pg7 should have a 7500 rpm limit

PG7 made a world of difference on my ZC. It would run like crap with the PM6.

Well, it looks like I have a decision to make. Either Chip my PM6 or find a PG7. Guess the differences spec wise between the two will remain a mystery.

Go look on eBay. I seen PM6 ECU's chipped to be like a PM7 which is the best choice for the ZC.
