Can we get a cap on sig size?

I'm not talking about the accual length or how much space it takes up, I'm talking about the size of the pictures and gifs some people have in there sigs? I timed one that has a gif of a matrix scene a few minutes ago and it takes over 7 minutes to load on dailup, thats insane.

Damn 60 bucks? I'm payin 50 for COX and thats pretty high. When i lived in chicago i payed 40 for comcast.

like I said, no dsl here, no cable, and I think the only company providing satalite pulled out because of lack of people buying it. Kinda sad really, 1/2 mile from my house is one of the nations largest fiber optic backbones, runs from dallas to chicago.

I have this brochure called DirectWay. Its a satelite for the internet. I dont know anything about them yet. I wonder if its any good...

its not that fast, like 500k download, but still relys on dailup for uploading.

:nono: Remember, internet with wires is more reliable than the internet being wire-less. I've had my share of problems too. Cable is one of the best in my book.

I would love to get T3 but i heard its really expensive. Someone told me its like 900 a month?!

shop I used to work at had three T3 connections, he was running a server out of it.

Yeh i can't find a company that do t3 service. I want to see how much it is a month.

This is why I turned off the "show images" thing in my profile. Whenever someone post a pic or has a pic in their signature I just see a link. But I've seen the mods yell at quite a few people for having big images before.

I have dial-up and it doesn't take anywhere near 7 min for a thread to load even with a .gif file.

directway satellite internet doesn't depend on dialup for upload. thats one of the options. The other option is a 2 way satellite connection. Something like $70/month for that. I almost got it before they brought cable into my neighborhood. Speed is decent with satellite.
