cd player, best company?

i dont really know much about audio, but what companies are known to have good quality? what company would you guys go with? what company do you guys have?

I love my pioneer p6500. Its the best deck ever, sony's arent bad, alpines are good, and kenwood, never buy a jensen. Or one of those cheap wal-mart ones, durabrand I believe they are called. I would get a pioneer.

alpine and pioneer are the best as far as head units. sony is ok if you just want a cd player and dont care much about being able to customize your music and are on a budget. i just upgraded from a sony to an alpine and what a difference. and finally i wouldnt go with panasonic. they look good but i had a scratched cd and my $100 sony played it better than my stepdads $200 panasonic

im getting a pioneer 8600 soon, i cant wait

500?!? mine is going to be from onlinecarstereo.com for like 300or so, and from what i have readi really yhink i will like it, i even went to ciruit city and checked it out for awile and i defenatly want that one. it's mind boggling what all it can do, for example make all the speakers sound reach your ears at the same time, and thats just one awesome thing this baby does, i cant wait.
