ok i just spent over $1000 on my RX7 in one month and i was wondering if the drive shaft i used is ok i bought a drive shaft at the junk yard for $50 and when i had both the original and the one i just bought i noticed that the one i just bought was like 2 times bigger (fater) I installed it and the car runs fine but i dont know if it was a good idea to use it. any help will be apreciated thanks.

does the drive shaft make a difference?

I'm assuming you have an automatic for you to be able to bolt in a TII driveshaft. No difference in the performance, only that your DS is now going to be the last thing to break in the drivetrain.

Forget what I said about the TII, I don't know what I was thinking mentioning a TII driveshaft with a n/a transmission. What you found is the larger n/a driveshaft, I've only seem them on S4's sport models. Same diameter as the TII but with the correct ends.
