oldsmobile stalls

Ihave a 1991 98oldsmobile when i run it in the highway it stalls ,but if i ride it in the city about 25 mph and not 40 mph and up it wont stall.and when its stalls have hard time to start.need help!

Have you checked your computer for any codes?

sounds like a TCC solenoid keeping the torque converter locked up.

its the fuel pump strainer......check out the posts in the alero section....dont let your mechanic tell u its the fuel filter or fuel pump

The car has a great motor but do not have time to fix the car.it shuts down some times when i go over 35mph,the body is in good conditions ,i will sell the car for 400 .eazzyc@cox.net.

Your car would be fixed with an $11 part.....Its called the "Sock Strainer"...its replaceable.
