OK my window is stuck all the way down but i think it's b/c it went to low... I got it to go up yesterday after staying stuck for weeks but i tought it needed lubbing so i sprayed alot of wd40 in the rails and while having it go up and down i think it went to low and got stuck again. and that it only got unstuck with the car shaking whie driving....

Is this a common problem and is their a easy fix ? i'm thinking that when ever it can go up again i'll install somthing to keep it from going to low.

I had/have this issue also.
The drivers window wouldn't go down all the way, so I had to cut the stopper. That has solved my probs.
However the rear-righ passenger side goes all the way down and wont come back up unless I stick some pliers in the and yank it back up.
I took of the panel and notice there was no stopper. A piece of wood etc would do the trick, but then again unlike the opposite side that goeas all the way down, the opposite side will have a stopper from allowing access past quater way.
I think the teeth in the motor/window frame slip.
Dont think its worth the hassles of purchasing another and going through all the fitment probs!!
Just stick in a stopper at the base of the door frame.

as long as you use cloth between the grip!!
gotta be real carefull... hold as tight as poss, cos if you slip, you'll chipp the glass. worked for me, but as my dog keeps bench-pressing that window.. i have managed to chip it!!

Pliers will cause chipping, just pull the door molding off at the bottom, stick your hand into the door and push up on the bottom of the window while pushing the window up button. Same issue on my 89 cherokee. Fixed them last weekend

I am having this same problem. I just drove 45 minutes in the rain, in a suit (just after an interview), with my drivers window down. I took off the panel, wiggled the handle through the hole. The motor is still working, but I cant get the window up at all. I can't reach the top of it b/c its down so far... but Ive tried pushing up from the bottom of the glass while pushing the up button. I know the window goes up and down the rod with the track on the inside... but it's either jammed or ??? I dont know.

I spent $40 getting this fixed last time and would like to do it myself if I can... its just got to be quick since its raining. thanks for any suggestions...

ok mine went up after a few weeks probably got the winrdow back on track with roufff rviving i stcuk something to keep it from rooling down to low and it now goes up and down normaly. Ok just a hint,"sometimes it stuck on the stopper i added i just press the up button whille slightly puishing the window down i do mean pushing it down and it kick up back to normal" so try pushing it down while holding the up button on the switch and it might just go up
