Broken wire on alternator of 86 s-10 blazer

Recently, a wire on my alternator snpped its a small wire and when it broke my panel lights dimmed and my battery light came on IM me on aim at Joe194444 if you have an answere,

Can't remember but is that still a Delcotron? If it is, there are only two wires, One goes hot when the ignition is on and the other goes to the light.

In any case, you will need to repair the wire. Go to the Help section at your favorite autostore and there you will find a new plug if necessary and splice it in.

Fix the wire and ad another connector on it and reattach it to the alternator.

Do NOT drive it with this or you will be stranded seeing it is firing the truck off of what is in the battery.

You will ruin your battery if you don't fix this ASAP.
