hey i was wondering if anyone has any tips on taking the flywhel of and 84 civic so i can replace the waterpump. Ive tryed everything but the nut wont budge. Ive got limited tools just a few spanners and sockets and stuf of that sort and ive spent about all up 14-15 hours trying to undo the nut. Ive had all my mate try and even my next door neighbour who many years ago used to be world amature boxer. Ive sprayed it with wd40 to loosen it, ive hammered it, ive even hooked up a pully system to a spanner and tryeed that. Also is it true or not that you have to undo a flywhell backwards?
Thanks heaps for any help.

Try posting in the Honda forum.
Usually the flywheel and the water pump are at opposite ends of an engine. Are you trying to remove the harmonic balancer?

try using a breaker bar on your wrench(its pretty much just a expansion/extension to help you get leverage, just use a pipe or something).

nah my uncle came over to have a look at it today and we need to take it to the family mechanic because i could screw up the timing and shit like that. Also to get the flynut off i need to use a torque wrench with is something that i dont have. And no the flywheel are not on opposite sides the flywheel has a cog behind it that spins the pump.
