I still say bitchin from time to time just for the pure shock value of it... I also use the term reefer. It entertains me to see the looks that people give me.

People still say dude, man, and bro. The latter 2 are ugh...

But "dude" is A WAY OF LIFE! You can express 100s of different emotions just by how you say "dude'! (It's the same for Aussies and "mate") Your tone... Your volume... Your pitch... Endless possibilities dude, endless...

Aussie use of mate.

You pop the hood of your suped up ride.

Your friend sees what you got underneath.

he exclaims,"Aw maaaaaate".

Or similar

Raz_Kaz
09-26-2004, 11:32 AM
Never heard anyone here use that term. Maybe it's just because people around here like to use words that make sense to describe the situation.

ie: 1.Look at my new ride...it's fully sick= :wtf:
2.Look at my new ride...it's cool= english

ec437
09-26-2004, 08:26 PM
yeah, me too.

whats really annoying is when people say "bad" when describing something in a positive manner. slang is always bad when you have to stop and ask whether they actually meant it literally or not.

grimmy
09-26-2004, 08:26 PM
never.
what we realy need around here is a revival of ninja turtle slang. get rid of all these ridiculous words with z's in them.

To my knowledge "Fully Sick" is more of a term associated with Immigrants[or wogs, mainly of eastern european descent or middle eastern] in Australia.

A friend in Canada said, "key" a lot like thats "key" [wtf!], and "tight" was popular from there too...

Jet-Lee
09-27-2004, 03:03 PM
I'll just stick to "dude", "cool", "awesome", and "sweet"...you can say ten million different things with those 4 words, by adjusting pitch, length, and/or volume...

ec437
09-27-2004, 07:44 PM
