have had tranny rebuilt, was slipping, they said they also replaced transfer case drum?? Tranny now over heats under load (steeper inclines) on the highway. Still not shifting out to overdrive correctly. Blew fluid a few times and checked levels, they were high. corrected and still overheating, any ideas?? Poor rebuild?? Cooler and lines were flushed at rebuild.. Also, has anyone ever seen some sort of vibration dampner attached to the tranfer case, it looks like a tranny mount hanging upside down. Why would it be there?? Are they trying to correct something. Before rebuild tranny never got hot. Thanks for any input, pretty miffed.

Don't sweat the details, just bring it back and tell them what is happening and that you expect them to do it right this time.

thanks brian r, trans was done by aamco, have had all kinds of problems with that shop, should I take to another aamco shop for repair?? do you think they need to pull tranny again?? thanks for info

I don't know, but probably only the shop you went to the first time will honor the warranty.
