97 Chrysler Sebring convertible remote programming

The directions I have for programming the new remotes for a 97 Sebring convertible tell me to start the procedure by connecting pin #1 of the 16-way data port connector to a chassis ground, unfortunately they do not tell me where the data port connector is although I think I located it above the drivers side kick panel and they do not tell me which pin in the connector is #1.
Any help greatly appreciated!
