K, i took my centerpiece off and tried to get it fixed. It was hard to take off because its never been taken off. Same with the taillights. Just hammer the bolts a little and it'll come loose. Just make sure to unplug the electrical to the lights:
I found that a screw in the center of the light uses washer to hold it down to the body using a washer. This washer deteriorates over time, and that's why the centerpieces eventually get deformed. Also, if you look at the bottom middle of the centerpiece, there's some sort of sticky pad thing that used to be connected to the body. I didn't have any epoxy, but i'm sure if u used something very super strength, you could get it to stay. However, i wouldn't recommend this if you ever needed to take off the centerpiece again you'd have a bad time and probably hafta get a new one.
I tried to replace the worn out washer with new screws, etc (as seen in the photos below). It worked to a degree, but the bottom middle of the centerpiece still needed to be connected to the body. I tried to use sticky velcro, but that didn't work well at all. You can't really notice it too much unless you look really close, so i'm not going to worry about it for now (until i've done everything else there is to do to the body of this car). Here's some pics i took while working with this:

Actually there are few of the those washers on my hatchback center piece when I changed mine. I just luckily had saved the ones off the junked car and just used them. Just use a junked ones. And I will admit that they are really fragile when you take them out.
